About Me

I’m a thirty-something Chicagoan-turned-Floridian. I love to read, I love to blog, and I love connecting with others. I am passionate about my family, my husband, my cats, my faith, and my friends – not necessarily in that order (depends on the day). A great weekend is one in which I try a new restaurant, drink some wine, have quality time with my husband, and of course get some reading time in. And if all those things can be accomplished somewhere outdoors, well that’s even better.

  1. Hi Heather–

I just read your review of “Sima’s Undergarments for Women.” I’m so thrilled you enjoyed the book, and honored you reviewed it. All the more so given that you read it as a PDF–your tenacity is much appreciated.

I’ve added a link to your blog on my website.

    Thanks again–
    All best,

  20. Hi there Heather. I’ve nominated you for the Liester Blog Award. It’s awarded to blogs deserving recognition who have under 200 followers. You barely made the follower cut (almost there!), but I really like your blog. You can find my post about this award here: http://booksandboston.wordpress.com/2011/11/19/the-liebster-blog-award/

    • Hi Michelle! Thank you so much for nominating me. 🙂 I wasn’t reading your blog before but I will be now! Thanks for introducing yourself, nice to “meet” you. 🙂

  21. Hi, I found your blog while trying to google a picture for the book The Geeks Shall Inherit The Earth. I review books as well from time to time. In fact, I called The Geeks Shall Inherit The Earth, the best book of 2011 not too long ago. Check out the book category of my blog, if you want.

  25. Hi Heather,

I’m such a fan of your book reviews. Funny how a blog post that comes to your personal inbox seems to turn strangers into friends. Anyhow, I know you aren’t currently accepting many novels to review – but I thought I might reach out personally to see if you might consider mine. My publicist is contacting most reviewers/bloggers, but I thought a personal note to several I feel like I know, would be nice.

My website is http://www.ellajoyolsen.com for details and I’ve attached my press release on a separate email. If you’d consider, I’ll have my publicist send you a galley ASAP. I hope you will!

    All the best to you!
